The Street Minstrels began as a guitar-mandolin duet in 1986 playing mostly Irish, Classical and Traditional music. We would occasionally perform for tips at The Fourth Avenue Street Fair in Tucson, Arizona. It was while performing in this festive atmosphere that Frank got the idea for the group's name. The duo eventually became a trio consisting of guitar, violin and flute our flautist also doubles on the clarinet. Our repertoire has expanded to include more International Folk Music, Renaissance and American and European Standards. Our unique sound is varied and festive.
